 Welcome to the BANGKAYAKRESORT In Peam Krasop Wildlife Sanctuary The 25.897-Hectare Peam Krasop Wildlife Sanctuary is located in Cambodia southwestern province of Koh Kong about 5 hours from Phnom Penh or just 20 minutes from the Cham Yeam border checkpoint with Trat Province in Thailand. The Sanctuary contains the largest and most beautiful coastal landscapes in all of Southeast Asia. Peam Krasop Wildlife Sanctuary was established by the Royal Cambodian Government in 1993 to conserve and protect this special place that harbors one of the earths last remaining healthy mangrove coastal ecosystems and provides habitat for abundant marine life, more than 30 species of resident and migratory birds and 5 types of mammals. About 9,000 people also live here and depend on the Sanctuarys ecological services to sustain their fisheries-based livelihoods.
